Dornbracht, which just launched its new flagship showroom at 18 Ann Siang Road, Singapore - the first in Southeast Asia - presents CYO, its latest bathroom fittings series. 

Dornbracht's CYO is a C-shaped faucet with a wide range of customisation options including its circular handles.  CYO combines the brand’s origins and future by fusing a design inspiration from the company’s archive from 1969, with a design language that seems familiar, yet appears new and forward-looking.

With CYO, Dornbracht reinterprets the archetypal C-shaped spout and finds the perfect combination of form and function. The striking basic shape of the circle defines the extravagant contour and sculptural quality of CYO. It defines the spout and handles and thus characterises the design right down to the water jet, which follows the shape of the spout. 

An innovative handle concept, which is operated by a rotating outer ring with finely tuned click-stop, reflects the high precision and quality of workmanship with its special function. Interchangeable handle inserts in a wide range of finishes and styles that can be combined individually and are easily replaced, offer unique options for individualisation. There are six exclusive special surfaces made of precious natural stones and extravagant structures.

Dornbracht CYO: New Architectural Concepts

Dornbracht has expanded its inspirational CYO bathroom designs with two additional architectural concepts, offering architects and designers ideas for individual solutions that transform the bathroom into a personal retreat along with architecture that can be experienced up close. The versatility of the new bathroom fitting design is demonstrated by the interplay of different material compositions.

The company has expanded its bathroom designs with two additional architectural worlds for the new CYO fitting design. The “Oasis” and “Metropolitan” bathrooms are complemented by the new, inspiring “Mystical” and “Delight” bathroom designs.

“Metropolitan” as a spacious room concept embodies opulence and sensual luxury and combines a masculine roughness with a noble shine through monolithic elements, clear lines and high-quality materials. The “Oasis” bathroom is primarily about nature. Soft, warm tones and natural colours with lush planting and river stones convey above all a connection to nature and a sense of mindfulness. The finishes of the CYO fittings in Brushed Durabrass for “Metropolitan” and in Dark Platinum matt for the “Oasis” concept were chosen to perfectly complement the design.

The new “Mystic” concept stands out thanks to the choice of materials, including dark lava stone, matt metallic finishes and fine leather: a combination of warmth coupled with cool, rugged nature. Black basalt dominates the room, creating the aura of a volcanic landscape. In combination with dark concrete, black steel, satin-finished glass and, above all, dark textiles and leather, the environment acquires a homely atmosphere and a particularly high-quality spatial effect, which is further enhanced by the platinum matt finish of the CYO fittings.

The effect of the new “Delight” design concept is completely different. Marked by a minimalist design concept, the room features a light character. The aesthetics combine restrained steel and concrete with round shapes and pastel accents. Exposed concrete on the walls and concrete slabs on the floor provide a puristic environment. Coloured acrylic glass and powder-coated aluminium with a mirroring effect create a graphic and multi-dimensional appearance. The round accents in the architectural design are completed by the CYO fittings – the high-gloss Chrome finishes enhance the light, the shine and the colours.
